The focus of Conversations on Grief is to improve self-awareness and self-reflection during the process of grieving. By better understanding oneself, by better understanding the emotions that you are feeling, individuals can express their grief in a healthier way.
As we iterate in this book, grief cannot be cured. Grief can only be processed and understood. This book is designed to assist individuals with the processing of their own grief. Through this, the book leads the reader through the process of grieving to reach the process of healing.
This book is a four-week guide covering key components of grief and the grieving process. Each week, we cover a topic related to grief. There are five reflective areas that we address and focus on for each topic (week). Additionally, there are self-reflective questions for participants to answer throughout the week. There is also a weekly exercise provided for participants; this exercise is designed to be a healthy resource and outlet during the four weeks.
We’ve made this resource available to use in your own way. You may choose to go through this experience on your own, or you may choose to use this resource to share with others and have your own Conversations on Grief. You know yourself; you know what is best for your own well-being, and we respect that in every way.
We don’t have the answers, and we will never claim to. There is love in our heart for you. We understand, and we care. We are hopeful that reading this book, and actively participating in the reflections it provides, will be a healing experience for you.
